Explain how endospores have allowed some bacteria, like tetanus, to be a successful species.?

The spore form allows bacteria to exist under conditions not conducive to its life. It allows the bacteria to exist until the enviromental conditions favor its vegatative form when it can reproduce. Without the ability to form spores the bacteria would simply die out.
