Its a combination, the soap plus the temperature of the water. The hotter the better to kill bacteria.

Some dishwashing liquids are anti-bacterial. Some solid soaps have the same properties.
Reply:Depends, some dish detergents now use triclosan in them other add bleach. If it's just plain detergent, i would say no.

Reply:The point of a detergent is to lift off dirt/grease/waste and rinse it away. Killing is not the necessity, ridding the surface of the dishes of food residue is. If you really need to totally disinfect something, use a mild solution of bleach (1-3 Tbsp bleach to gal of water) and soak the items for 3-5 minutes, or boil in water for a few minutes. Bleached items should be rinsed afterwards with plain water if for immediate use, otherwise the bleach compounds will break down and not be noticeable thereafter.
Reply:All soap will kill bacteria. The heat you generate rubbing your hands together will kill most bacteria. Not all soap kills viruses. Bleach will kill viruses, some soaps are labeled anti-virus.

I do not know of any type of cleaner that kills bacteria 100%.


Try using Palmolive Anti-Bacterial Dish Liquid,Ajax Anti-Bacterial Dish Liquid. Try Bleach. Make Sure You Dilute The Bleach With Water.
