Does urine has a lot of bacteria?

I was in a rush today and I really had to pee. There wasn't anyplace to put my bag or books but I didn't want to put them on the dirty floor. I tried to squat so I could pee but I ended up with urine running down about halfway my thigh. I just wiped it off thinking nothing of it. Is urine very unsanitary? I haven't taken a shower yet and just realized that i put on sunscreen on the thigh area and and other places.

Urine is sterile, you can drink it. Remember that if you are ever stranded someplace without water and your life is dependent on it! Gross.... yes but could save your life.
Reply:It is usually sterile. In some parts of the world, people believe it's good for you to drink your own urine, so they drink it and it doesn't hurt them.
Reply:Hmm know whats wierd? If my brother pees in the tolite and doesnt flush (ugg gross i know... but for discussions sake...) 8 hours later mold will grow on the inside of the tolite under the water... However in my parents tolite, if they dont flush... the inside will acutally look like rust. I think people need to learn how to flush!! I think your ok for the time being, cuz think, if you've ever accidently sat in a puddle in a bathroom, which most of us have at one point or another, and nothing too bad has happened to us.
