What are the two types of bacteria found in the skin?

The average person has between 500 and 1000 different kinds of bacteria living on and in his body.

Most of them do not cause disease.

Bacteria normally found on the skin are:

Staphylococcus epidermidis -does not usually can cause disease unless your immune system is not healthy

Corynebacteria - makes your feet smell

Staphylococcus aureus - can cause disease

Streptococcus pyogenes -rarely, causes strep throat

Propionibacterium acnes -causes acne

Micrococci -does not usually cause disease but causes body odor

What are the two types of bacteria found in the skin?
There are probably hundreds of types of bacteria found on the skin. Most common will be S. Aureus.
Reply:There's a lot more than 2 types.

Reply:Staphylococcus aureus %26amp; S. epidermidis are the common Gram positive skin commensals. Also Corynebacterium species. There can be many, many different bacteria normally on skin -- I am not sure what you mean by "types."
Reply:The two types of bacteria are:

1. ALIVE BACTERIA

2. DEAD BACTERIA
Reply:gram positive and gram negative?

1)G+ve bacteria;

Staphylococcus epidermidis

Staphylococcus aureus

Micrococci

Diphtheroids (Coryneforms

Streptococci

2)Gram-Negative Bacteriai:

Gram-negative bacteria on intact skin. Enterobacter, Klebsiella, Escherichia coli, and Proteus spp are the predominant Gram-negative organisms found on the skin. Acinetobacter spp etc
