Can someone explain to me how bacteria carry out cell respiration?

the electrons travel through the electron transport chain to oxygen, i guess , but i am a visual person, i just need to understand this better

Can someone explain to me how bacteria carry out cell respiration?
each membrane associated protein in the chain leading up to the Oxygen is more oxidized than the previous one, hence driving the electrons forward towards the acceptor (oxygen).


This oxidation/reduction action moves from a higher energy state to lower, releasing most of the ATP (more than krebs and glycolysis combined by far)
Reply:If you can find a diagram of the electron transport chain in mitochondria, the process is virtually identical in bacteria.





In bacteria, the proteins of the electron transport system are found in the membrane of the bacterium, but the process is the same.
